Yannie Lam
Yannie Lam (1990), previously M&A attorney-at-law at Allen & Overy, Loyens & Loeff, Eversheds Sutherland and Van Doorne, has been involved in a large number of mergers and acquisitions. Yannie’s practice covers domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, including private offers, energy (oil & gas, and renewable energy), restructurings, reorganisations and private equity transactions. She advises on both Dutch and cross-border transactions and counsels numerous companies on aspects of corporate governance and joint ventures.
Yannie worked on some high-profile M&A transactions in the energy industry, and assisted market-leading parties in the energy sector in the (re)structuring, and/or merging/acquiring of businesses, as well as in the setting-up of joint ventures and/or other forms of cooperation arrangements between those parties, including Gasunie and Vopak on the EemsEnergy Terminal project; Norges Bank Investment Management on its acquisition of a 50% interest in the Borssele 1 and 2 offshore wind farms; ENGIE with the restructuring of its coal-fired power plants in the Netherlands; and a consortium of investors on the acquisitions of one of Europe’s largest floating solar park Bomhofsplas. Other projects include the acquisition of a minority stake in Zanders by MML Capital Partners, the acquisition of VIVAT Verzekeringen by Anbang Insurance Group from SNS Reaal, and the acquisition of INVISTA’s aromatic polyester polyol business by Stepan.
Yannie graduated cum laude from Tilburg Law School (2013) and summa cum laude from Tsinghua Law School (2014); and is fluent in Dutch, English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
