Jeroen Hoekstra
Jeroen Hoekstra (1967), previously partner at Baker & McKenzie and Eversheds Sutherland, has been involved in a large number of mergers and acquisitions. Jeroen’s practice covers domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, including private equity transactions. He advises on both Dutch and cross-border transactions and counsels numerous companies on aspects of corporate governance and compliance.
Jeroen acted for numerous listed and non-listed companies in M&A transactions including: Intrum (STO: IJ), a leading credit management services provider in connection with the sale of the Buckaroo group, a Dutch based billing and payment services provider, Becton, Dickson and Company, (NYSE:BDX) in connection with its acquisition of Kiestra Lab Automation, a leader in lab automation and solutions, Sulzer AG (SW: SUN) in connection with its acquisition of Advanced Separation Company (ASCOM) B.V. and ProLabNL B.V., providers of oil, water and gas separation equipment, Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) in connection with a 50/50 owned joint venture with Sollers OJSC, one of Russia’s leading automotive companies and Itochu Corp (NASDAQ: ITOCY) in connection with its acquisition of the Kwik-Fit Group, the market leader in tire retailing in the U.K. and The Netherlands.
Jeroen worked both in Amsterdam and Singapore for a few years and was involved in many M&A transactions in Asia, including oil and gas projects in Indonesia and Thailand. He earned a private law degree at the University of Leiden in 1990.
Jeroen Hoekstra is recognized as a leading M&A lawyer in the Legal 500, Chambers Global and Europe (ranked 1st tier for midmarket M&A in 2017) and the International Finance Law Review (IFLR) Expert Guides.
