Bastiaan van Doorn, MSc, LLM, has been a lawyer (advocaat) since 1999. Bastiaan studied law (cum honore) at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and business administration at Nyenrode Business University. After completing his university studies, Bastiaan started his career at Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman). He then worked at several international law firms, private equity firms and multinationals, where he was involved in a wide range of M&A and financing transactions as well as litigation.

Bastiaan is an all-round M&A lawyer specialized in purchase and sale transactions, investments and divestments, joint ventures, due diligence investigations, restructurings, carve-outs, (re)financing, drafting and negotiating commercial and M&A contracts and providing corporate governance and corporate law advice. His business degree, besides his law degree and experience, gives him a thorough understanding of both the legal and the commercial-financial aspects of transactions.

Bastiaan has been involved in numerous M&A deals in his long-standing career and advises on many deals each year from small, mid-market to large transactions, for family-owned businesses to private equity firms, in competitive auction processes to private cross-border deals.
